Paintball the Game

Paintball is a game with a lot of variations and scenarios. Mostly, the players are set up in 2 teams and they play several games of about 20 minutes each. The total playing time is +/- 2 hours.
Between the sessions, the players have a short break to check their equipment and to refresh themselves in the safety-zone.
When you are hit by a paint, you are eliminated and you need to go to the safety-zone, where a cool drink is waiting. Behind the safety nets, you can observe the rest of the game. It goes without saying that you are allowed to compete in the next game (at full force).

Variations of the Game

1. Capture the flag!
There is a brewery flag in each home base. The aim is for team A to capture the flag of the opponents - team B - and to bring it along to their own home base so that they have 2 flags. It is obvious that you have to defend your own flag as well. It is important to define the different tasks, such as co-ordination, exploration, attack and defence.

2. Capture the “GOLDEN BARREL”!
The “Hoegaarden Golden Barrel” is put down in the middle of the arena in a strategic position. Both teams must try to capture the barrel and bring it to the opponent's home base.

3. Mr President!
One team indicates a president, who enters the arena unarmed.  The intention is to escort him under supervision of bodyguards from one base to the other without him being hit. The other team is only allowed to shoot the president, not the bodyguards. If a bodyguard hits you, you have to leave the playing field.

4. Protect the Hoegaarden brewery!
One team only has to defend his home base while the other team only has to attack. Easier said than done, so it will appear!

5. King of Hoegaarden!
This is mostly the end of the paintball-day. No teams now, every man fends for himself! The one who remains at the end is allowed to call himself “King / Queen of Hoegaarden” for one day and he / she receives the only real Hoegaarden-crown!

6. Rabbit hunting!
A couple of games of paintball can be a perfect occasion for a singles night. (At the end) The bachelor is dressed in a rabbit costume - with carrot (and all) - and is hunted by the rest of the group! You have to watch out because this rabbit shoots back! The rabbit can only leave the game when all hunters are eliminated.
There is no end to the laughing, shrieking and roaring, for the hunted bachelor as well.
